Getting started

At this point in my career, I've had many great opportunities to work with some of the best clients a designer could wish for. But I have always wanted to create my own designs.

Over the years, I've had several Etsy shops, created wedding invitations and baby shower announcements, and finally settled into illustrating stickers. It's been a wonderful and, at times, very frustrating experience, but I wouldn't change any of it. All of those experiences have led me to where I currently am.

I never thought of my work as falling into any single category. I'm a graphic designer, and this is my body of work. It was when a project manager I was working with commented about the project I was working on. She said it would make a great surface pattern for fabric. At that moment, I realized what I had been doing all along.

So here I am, forging my new path as a surface pattern designer, and I'm excited about where this adventure will take me.
