A little bit about me

Throughout my life, I have engaged in various artistic endeavors. Before dedicating myself to graphic design, I pursued a career in the restaurant industry, commencing as a busboy and progressing to a prep cook position before transitioning to full-time cooking.

I balanced my academic pursuits with long cooking shifts during my art school years. Upon graduating from college, I recognized my aspiration to become an artist, but the financial viability of such a career was still being determined. A friend’s bakery offered an opportunity, and I accepted a position as a donut fryer, relinquishing my culinary aspirations.

Balancing full-time baking with occasional painting proved challenging due to the demanding bakery hours. Consequently, I temporarily set aside my artistic pursuits for several years.

My personal life underwent significant changes, including marriage and starting a family, which strained my ability to manage my life effectively. Recognizing the need for change, I returned to school and pursued a pre-press degree. Working for a local print shop, I discovered my passion for graphic design.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to continuous learning and skill development, striving to acquire the necessary expertise to execute my desired artistic projects.

The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic presented a pivotal moment. I seized the opportunity to pursue my artistic vision independently. Consequently, I intensified my illustration work, and my desired projects began manifesting. I am immersed in the creation of “Big Bad Tree,” guided by the principle of adhering to my inner voice.
